Blank, staring eyes
Penetrate the darkness,
The ever-watching eye
Of seeing stalkers.

Untold secrets
Lie hidden
In the sand,
Uncovered by the
Nonchalant lapping
Of tidal seas.

Abbreviated terminology
Forgotten as it
Drowns in its own
Pompous intelligence,
Basking in the sun's superiority,
Forgetting insignificance
In the vast explanse.

Each atom remains
Accounted for,
Planned and decided,
Knowing smiles reveal...

Locked in comforting shadows,
Surrounded by security,
One touch was all it needed
Demons were banished for life
And the keys to the closet
lost, concealing the mounting
skeletons...

Calming shadows lengthened,
Mutated to sinister, threatening
manifestations.
Trapped by what once was life
Now death keeping me cornered...

A twinkle of a star
A glinting of your eye
And though it seems bizarre
I'm finally discovering why...

I'm not too sure what to think of this, I wanted a less obvious title, but one that didn't seem too contrived either so the title gives away the poem really, but never mind. Wrote this last night, sort of came to me, let me know what you think...

Very emotive. I like the last line in particular, gives the sense that things still aren't completely clear and perhaps will never be. Good work! :)

I'm having a little trouble following the flow, maybe its because I just woke up. This feels like there are incomplete thoughts, ideas boucing around but not a definitive answer. Good work though.
