The gentle caress of skeletal forms,
Breezing soundlessly past,
the gnawed flesh of nature's mortality.

Witnessing sudden deviation,
Leaving it fluttering silently to the ground,
Newly exposed to impending dangers
Of fallen grace.

The vulnerable bones the remnants
Of once proudly shouldered plumage.
A haunting reminder
Of hierarchical positions

Position but not power,
A celestial community,
United individuals
Stand together to rule them all.

Amongst god-like figures
But now demoted
To cluttered collections
Of the rejected, littering the surroundings
The shamed group
doomed to rot in pity and disgust.

Descending
Dropping
Falling

A cursed freedom
An ending becomes the beggining
Of cyclic continuation...
